Use of City Parks:  Funderburg Park, Westview Park, Sands Drive Park

If you would like to use our city parks for an event such as a birthday party, family reunion, community event, etc., you will need to fill out a RESERVATION form and submit it to our Chamber of Commerce (located in the Visitors’ Center at 119 West Washington Street) for approval.

Please note:  If this is an event that has 50 or more attendees, you will need an event permit.  If the event is a community event,  where the general public is welcome, it will need to be approved by The City of Monticello City Council. The City Council meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month, please plan accordingly and submit your reservation form at least two weeks prior to the event.   If this is a  community event when the general public is welcome, the Monticello-Jasper County Chamber of Commerce (706-468-8994 )  is available to assist you with the marketing and promotion.

The Monticello-Jasper County Chamber of Commerce manages the Downtown Square (city park) for the city of Monticello.  The Chamber of Commerce organizes, hosts, co-hosts, and sponsors all community events (general public is welcome) that are held on the Downtown Square.   If you are interested in organizing a  community event, the Chamber of Commerce will try to schedule your event in conjunction with an event that has already been planned. No one is to use the park or parking spaces around the Square for soliciting or selling unless there is a scheduled Chamber event.
